Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Goldhofer Hydraulic Platform Trailer Operator with a background in the specialized transport industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of Goldhofer Hydraulic Platform Trailer transport vehicles, ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of heavy equipment and materials to job sites. Additionally, the Goldhofer Hydraulic Platform Trailer Operator will collaborate closely with our team of professionals to execute projects safely and according to client specifications.
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailer to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and materials to designated job sites.
– Shows commitment to Beyel Brothers safety culture through personal behavior and willingness to influence others.
– Participates in safety meetings and other hydraulic platform trailer safety programs.
– Coordinate with project managers, riggers, and crane operators to ensure seamless logistics and timely delivery of equipment.
– Assure all transports are within load limits of equipment and correctly secured.
– Assures securement gear is inspected prior to use.
– Responsible for assembly, configuration, and disassembly of Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailer.
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Goldhofer Hydraulic Platform Trailer to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal performance.
– Perform routine maintenance tasks on the equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and conducting minor repairs as needed.
– Responsible for specialized tools assigned to the Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailer operator to complete maintenance and assembly/disassembly procedures.
– Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols while operating the equipment.
– Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, and transportation logs.
– Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to coordinate transportation schedules and address any issues or concerns.
– Perform tasks assigned by job foreman during transporting procedures.
Requirements:
– Proven experience (1-3 years) as heavy equipment operator.
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
– Strong understanding of specialized transport logistics.
– Ability to interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Attention to detail and a commitment to safety at all times.
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required by project demands.
– Must be willing to travel out of state for extended periods as required by project demands.
– Must pass fit for duty assessment, drug test, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Additional certifications or training related to specialized transport.
– Experience with manual steering and/or PST electronic steering.
– Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
– Completion of High School or secondary education.
– Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems and components.
